To celebrate the impending World Cup and their partnership with the German football team, IWC has released the Big Ingenieur Chronograph Edition DFB.
The official watch of the German Football team, to acquire one of the timepieces you either have to be nominated by the German coach Joachim Löw, or be one of the first in line because only 250 models are being produced.
Running on the 89360 caliber and spanning a diameter of 45.5 millimetres, it sports the DFB logo on a sapphire glass back as well as a serial number noting its position within the limited series.
IWC have also modified the minute counter, fitting a white chapter ring on a black background to indicate 45 minutes - the duration of each half of a football game. The watch is completed by an Black alligator strap, lined on the inside with calfskin and grey decorative stitching.
The relationship between the two parties began in 2008 at the European Championships when the watchmaker created the Double Chronograph Edition DFB Pilot’s Watch. -www.iwc.com-
